Welcome to June!  No shortage of Leaf news to talk about! On May 31st, Brad Treliving was named the 18th General Manager in Maple Leafs franchise history, and there was no time to waste getting this done. In this episode we discuss this crucial hire, Dubas “turning up” in Pittsburgh, and the Stanley Cup final match up!

The Maple Leafs season is done and the Stanley Cup drought continues. As we all know the Leafs lost their 2nd round series to the Florida Panthers in 5 games. In this episode we are going to try and make sense of it all in the playoff edition of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. For our final Playoff Highlight reel, were going with a defense oriented theme, as we celebrate 3 performers on our back end that were able to rise to the occasion. Then for the Third Period, we welcome Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun to the show to discuss the Leafs 2023 playoff run and what could be next for the team. No doubt, after yet another disappointing exit, changes will be coming.

They did it!  The 19yr drought without a series win is OVER! As usual though, the team did not make it easy on themselves taking game 6 to yet a 3rd overtime in the series, before new Dad, Captain JT, would seal the deal. We start the show with some Leaf Talk and recap the last 3 games of the series with the Lightning. In the LTL Playoff Highlight Reel we feature 3 of the Big Dogs that came through in the clutch. Then we are naming our first ever Stars and Breakout Stars of the Series. We hope we will be featuring several of these selections over a long playoff run!

The wait is finally over and the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are upon us! In this episode we have our final regular season GBU, and we shine a light on two newcomers, one a rookie and the other a returning vet, and both could end up being wildcards in the playoffs. For the LTL Highlight reel we give a lot of love to our back up net-minders. Then we welcome back our LTL Insider Mike Augello for the Third Period to help us break down the Tampa/TO series.

It’s been a busy couple weeks for Kyle Dubas! Trade deadline is over, and the Leafs have made a lot of changes bringing in 6 new players! In this episode we evaluate all the Leafs' deals and start things off with a special edition of the LTL Highlight Reel, where we rank our top 3 Leafs' trades! Then we'll break it all down with our special guest, LTL Insider Mike Augello, and get his perspective on the all the moves the club made.

Seems like forever since our last show! Probably because the Leafs have only played 3 games! Still we managed to sort through the good and the bad, and discuss our picks in the GBU. Due the the small sample size, we put the LTL Highlight Reel on the shelf and instead debut a new segment, "Who Says No", where we look at hypothetical trades involving the Leafs and debate the outcome. In the Third Period we take a pre-deadline trip around the league looking at some teams that may part of the post season dance come April.

We are just past the halfway point of the season and we already know that the Leafs are playing Tampa in the 1st round of the playoffs! Chris has been monitoring the team's losses to sub-par competition, and she delivers her first report. Despite these losses to the lesser lights, things are still looking pretty good for the Leafs since the start of the new year! For the Third Period, we have an exclusive behind the scenes look at the NHL Situation Room, where the on ice calls in the NHL are reviewed. Chris gives us her special report from her visit to the NHL's Toronto offices back in November.

We're going to talk Leafs as always cuz well... that's what we do, but we have a a couple special segments planned in celebration of the Holiday Season and to close out the year in style! We've got a great GBU segment and then its time to start the festivities with our first ever Ladies Talkin' Leafs Gift Reel! The Leafs honoured Borje Salming on Saturday night in a moving ceremony before the game vs. the Canucks. The Leafs all-time points leader for defencemen, Salming is a member of the HHOF, who announced this past summer he is battling ALS. In our GBU segment, we are happy to report that some of our stars are starting to look like their old selves, and one even made our LTL Highlight reel again for only the second time this year! In our Third Period Segment we have a new instalment of "On the Road with Chris and Syl", as we recount our latest trip to Raleigh, North Carolina.
